Since 2021, Lerro Photography has provided the lighting for the night photo session during the WWII MidAtlantic Air Museum in Reading, PA.  Below is the information for the night photo session.  If you are interested in purchasing tickets you MUST email info@lerrophotography for contact information.

 

The following information is written and provided by the MidAtlantic Air Museum and the media coordinators for the WWII Weekend.

To improve the World War Two Weekend experience for aviation enthusiasts and photographers, we are adding a dedicated Photo Pit. This new feature results from three years of challenging work by too many people to mention here. The Pit will be on the opposite side of the airfield, meaning the sun will be at your back for most of the day. It will be inside the perimeter fence with an unobstructed runway view. Check out the attached images for location and sample photos.

Please read the attached application form very carefully. As you can see, you have a few options. Be advised that the best option, the Three-Day Pass, is limited to seventy (70) participants. Only checks will be accepted as payment. No “walkups” will be granted access. Payment must be received by May 25, 2023. Since we will be within the airport’s operational area, all applicants must submit a copy of their photo ID with the application. A driver’s license is preferred.

The Pit will open daily at 9:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM. These times may be extended by one hour. In the event of rain, the Pit will close. Additional instructions may follow.

The Night Engine Run Photo Shoot will occur on Saturday evening, June 3. Thus far, we have the P-63 and MAAM’s Stearman lined up. The third aircraft will be announced soon.

Please select your desired option(s) and submit payment via Check or Money payable to the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum, C/O Media Coordinators, 355 Littlecreek Rd, Spring Grove, PA 17362. Please be advised that there is a limit of one hundred (100) participants in the Photo Pit and a limit of seventy (70) participants for the three-day pass, including the night photo shoot. We must receive this application and donation by May 25^th. One Air Show ticket will be issued for each one-day pit pass. In addition, a three-day show ticket for the three-day Photo-Pit/Night Photo Shoot Pass will be provided. The Night Photo Shoot is limited to seventy total participants. Do not delay reserving your spot.
