Themed Period Photo Workshops
Step back in time and photograph our historic reenactment photo shoots. We highly emphasize on historical accuracy with props, clothing, hair styles and scenery. During our past shoots, we’ve photographed cowboys of the southwest, Rosie the Riveter working in the factory, the Native American Navajo Nation, WWII battle scenes and WWII bombers on the ground and flying directly over us at low elevation.
WWII Bombers and Pinups – We had the pleasure of putting on a two day photo shoot with the Yankee Air Museum and they didn’t disappoint. Our photographers enjoyed crew portraits and simulated action shots, classy pinup shots and even take off and landing shots at the end of the runway
Cowboys of the Southwest – We’ve done several cowboy shoots. One of our shoots was when fall color was in full swing and the storm clouds were clearing as real cowboys and cowgirls of the San Juan Mountains put on a great show for the photographers. The resseled up cattle and posed with their horses for great portrait opportunities.
Our other cowboy shoots have taken place in southern Arizona where our reenactors ran through a river, kicked up dust in a ghost town and ran into the sunset on a working ranch. Portrait sessions were also done.
Rosie the Riveter – We had the unique opportunities to not only work with great actresses but got to photograph with real female railroaders and machinists. Our ladies performed numerous setups which included working on a live steam locomotive, welding, drill presses, rivet guns as well as classy pinup scenes.
The Navajo Nation – We traveled into the back country of Monument Valley and photographed several families dressed in historic clothing and performed chores such as rug weaving, hair weaving and other tasks that would of been done back in the 1800s. The scenery couldn’t of been a better backdrop for our shoot. We even shot portrait shots as well as Milky Way pictures.
